I think it is incredible that you have been able to keep in touch with the boat and the new owner. I have enjoyed following your past journey with the Constellation, but I am saddened to see her demise. I hoping that things work out for the best and the vessel can return to her prime.

Nick - life is an ocean. As unpredictable and wide and (sometimes) frightening as the sea. I think it would be useful to land-based sailors or dreamers to experience your re-adaptation and re-acclimatization to life on land, with all those people and the constraints of 9-5-workadayism. How do you reconcile life on land after 3 years relying on yourself, Constellation and the sea?

My other half backpacked around the world for 2 years solo. His transition "back to the norm" was difficult, personal and resulted in a 2-year period of growth/change. That is less exciting than world travel, to be sure, but it has been a significant journey. I think your journey after-the-fact is as important as your journey before. It's still a "big ocean" - just of a different kind. Plus, when (not if) you return to sailing, you will give your readers continuity. IMHO.

Ok, so Evan thinks bad characteristics are typical for women, and valuable chracteristics are typical for men.

I think: you shouldn´t talk down to half the worlds population.

And by the way, the most greedy, materialistic, and boasting consumer-junkies I know are men. Don´t blame women for that. Just don´t, it makes you look like a pus.
