I’ll leave the photos and video to do the talking, but I’m sticking around a little longer here in Apia, Samoa to volunteer with the Red Cross. I took this media while out today, volunteering on the worst affected area: The east of the island.
Thank you to Weide, Stuart, Mark, Benjamin and Lidia for their donations to the sailing kitty – I will be using the donated money to cover the costs of staying longer here in the marina. I cannot stay long, due to the weather situation (I’m always… Late in the season). However I will stay for a bit longer, and think about departing early next week.

The start of my second day with the Red Cross

Can’t quite comprehend how you would deal with all that is going on out there but it must be great to be able to help. Lets all hope for the best for everyone out there. =)
Best of luck for the next crossing, hope the weather treats you favourably, well as much as it can just now.
=)

Well done, Nick. I think it is important to post footage like this to disseminate information to the public about this disaster. Previous crises have shown us that the world can be very charitable, but only when they have a sliver of an idea about how bad the situation really is. Keep up the good work, and good luck with your adventure. Fair winds, my friend.

That must be incomprehensible situation on many fronts. It’s very positive that you’re able to help and do good things in the field. Godspeed Moby for the sail ahead with those much needed supplies.
