Hello Nick,
Found you through the Latitude post. A shame they didn't report on you before you left.
I grew up in Lymington, UK, home of Jeremy Rodgers boatyard where your boat was built. During my teen years, with my brothers, I delivered many a Contessa around Europe. You picked the smaller wetter one. Very seaworthy though, as long as you keep the bottom hatchboards in!

One memorable delivery was Lymington-Hamburg-Lymington in February on Contessa 32s. The agent in Hamburg forgot to fill the propane for us. At 11pm in driven sleet we warmed cans of stew on the engine block until they were mushy enough to eat, but we forgot how miserable we had been when we reached up the Solent under spinnaker in the sunshine and got home just before the Mayflower closed; 3 steak-and-kidneys pies and several pints each!

Yours is an inspiring trip. Admire your patience and state of mind in this time of fast, bone rattling passages. Wishing you "bon voyage" as you head out across the Pacific. Say hello to those lovely ladies in the Marquesas for me! Cheers, Mark.

Hi Nick... It's Dawa here, remember me? Not sure if you have a mobile or not (I'm at: +61 ), but I'm about 5 miles from you at the moment, in Kensington. Hmmm.... maybe i'll wander down to the marina tomorrow morn to see if you're around. If you can respond to my gmail, lemme know asap your plans for tomoro. Maybe we could hook-up. Your mum's keen for pics of you and your boat ;)

Ahoy Moby Nick
An alternative you could pour on the deck is lemon curd, no?
Wish I could have been there for the talk on Wednesday but I'll be getting on a plane for SF - woooooooo hoooooooooooooooooooo - and hopefully, you'll be seeing me and mah dahling on the 29th in Saucylito. Is there only one marina there or two dozen?
I'm so excite!
