about

I've recently finished sailing a 26ft Yacht named Constellation, from Holland to Australia - I departed on the 17th of Sept, 2007 and arrived in Australia on the 19th of November, 2009. See the route I took, and read the whole story.

$10,000 prize – Vote for Constellation!

December 9th, 2008

My dream is to finish this voyage: To truck Constellation overland to San Francisco, sail the South Pacific, ride a bicycle across America, and sail through the heads into Port Phillip Bay, Melbourne – I’d like to achieve this by the end of 2009. ING Direct in Australia are offering a prize that could make that happen – They’re offering $10,000 as first prize for their ‘My Dream Is’ competition. This voyage fits perfectly into the criteria, and so I’ve entered. The competition rules encourage entrants to include ING branding in their photo – I’ve attempted that, and I hope the message of what I’m trying to do comes across.

Click on the above image or here to vote and rate it as ‘5′. The public choose the top 100 images for the competition, and then after that, it’s up to panel at ING to decide who’s dream is worth funding!

It will only take a minute of your time, and doesn’t require you to fill out a form, enter your details, or anything else – Just a mouse-click. Voting stops on the 14th of December. (Note: The site takes a while to load properly – Give it a second)

Thanks everyone! nick

    I don’t know if it’s just me, but I can’t seem to find your picture on the site.

    @Brian:

    The site displays a blank canvas and then all of the pictures will display floating in the background. Nick’s picture will default if you click on the link. I’ve noticed it is rather slow to render, so give it a couple of minutes.

    Dear Nick,

    you don’t know me, but I heard quite much about you form my sister. She’s a sailor too, maybe you remember her, her nam’s Carolina, we live in Spain in Balearic Islands. Thanks God she’s now achieving one ofe her dreams crossing the Atlantic on a sailboat. She has follow your adventure, and your blogs and videos have given to her maybe the courage she was needing to do the crossing. Just because of the sympathy she feels for you and because of her and her biggest Love “The Sea” I can understand You and your dream… So it makes me very happy if I could help you and Constellation with it! ..I have no money :S but I do have lots of friends, so I thought that maybe, I could post a little story about you on my blog and facebook profile and hang the link of “My Dream is..” so many other people who not know many things about you, or the Sea or Sailing (you know what I mean) could get interested and involved in your project helping you through that link, or? hat do you think? Let me know about it? ok? I click everyday! my sister is my best friend, and now I miss her quiet much, but all what makes her happy, makes me happy too, so I wanted to thank you for inspiring her, and this is my way to do it .. ;) Wish you all the best! Good Luck!!

    Belinda
