Hi Nick,If you want a bed in Tassie - can offer one. Have yacht - can sail too. You are most welcome. Can offer you a speaking position at a school or at the Yacht club for fund raising if you are staying for a while. Have continued to follow the odyssey with admiration. Let me know...

The beauty of owning a boat is how it helps you move around in order to keep the dream going.
It happened to me, too. But you already know that. I'm just writing this for the folks out there who might not understand why we sometimes have to go home. Boating is expensive, no matter how big or small the vessel, and true lovers of the lifestyle, will do anything to stay afloat.

First thought on reading the recent blog was that you have left your baby all alone at christmas!!! Poor constellations =( I hope when you return in January you buy her a cool new flag or something useful as a xmas pressie. hehe!

Guess you couldn't imagine missing another xmas not in the sunshine!? Well hope Australia is good fun and perhaps you can get friends and neighbours out there to rally round and chip into your kitty, just tell them it'll get you home quicker. Curiosity prevails.. are you still intending to truck the boat over America and cycle behind??

Best of luck with all adventures until you get going again.
Merry Chritmas & Happy New Year when the time comes.

[...] I’m not even going to apologise for going on all these blog holidays… Actually no, I can’t help myself, I’m terrible, I’m sorry… Apologies also go to all those people who write to me, and get replies weeks later, or have their words drift into binary obscurity as emails back themselves up thirty pages down.
Hi Nick, Welcome back to sunny? Melbourne!
I hope you have a bonza time with friends and family.
Who wants to see thanksgiving in NYC anyway?
Yes, those costs of living just keep going up - the only answer I see is to go sailing!
Cruising may have its financial drawbacks, but catching a fish is about the same as it was always.
By the way take a look at the cost of fish in your local supermarket!

Merry Christmas,
Mark
