Re your paragragh about missing islands after St Lucia, "I started to cull islands because charts were too expensive… "

If you give me a postal address, I'll post you a single CD that'll run on Windows3.1 to XP, that contains charts of the whole world, and printable via the print screen and Word.

Why??? because I'm from your hometown (mt waverley), and your story inspires me, the pictures and struggles are inspiring.

Most charts are very good and zoomable, eg all the commercial ports, Lord Howe Is, etc. but some remote areas (Norfolk Is) are hex/heptagon shaped where the map-makers took shortcuts.

Regards,
Phill

Hey my dear friend.

I ended reading this post with this though on my mind: This crazy sailor will get to NY, will work for some months, save money and get more sponsors. Then he may feel that he left a lot to explore in the Caribbean islands, and return south for a larger season, say 4 months!!! Then, why not South America? Carnival in Brazil, Tango in Buenos Aires, see the whales giving birth in Patagónia... "Actually - Nick thinking - Yacht Magazine told the world I would cross the mighty Cape Horn, so why wouldn't I? I've come so far... Or I can sneak through Maggelan Straight... Hum! Trailing Constellation across the US may become such an hassle..."

Enjoy your life as you please.

Great hug!

Thanks everyone - !

Good tip oreneta, but I really need to get out of here asap. I was rather ignorant of the cost of things here in Antigua... I should have guessed it considering it's a yachting megacentre. Really I should have stocked up in Dominica... Damn.

@Greg Sorry, I don't mean to make you jealous!! Researching social media sounds kind of interesting though... Wanna trade for a week or two?
