		<description>A good idea to prevent a chinese jybe is to rig a preventor guy from a strong point at the bow (much stronger than a stanchion) through a snatch block. Run the lines OUTSIDE everything back to the end of the boom, and if you fit snap shackles on each end of the rope then you can just clip on to a strong point on the boom on either gybed tack. An advantage of this is that when single-handed you can use this line to pick up a mooring bouy; run the line outside everything and return it back to the cockpit. When the bouy is alongide the cockpit tie a bowline to the bouy and then haul in on the line till buoy goes to the bow. No going to the bow required and you have time to sort your sails etc.</description>
