<description>Hi Nick... just started reading your site. You may be interested to know that I helped to deliver a contessa 26 for a friend which we purchased from the Royal Navy (Joint Services in Gosport) and were not allowed to keep the name. I am convinced that the name was Prince Hamad 11. I dont recall the boat being red, although it was about 10 years ago, but I do remember it had a big thumper of an engine which was either a Saab or BMW..very slow revving and a huge flywheel.
We sailed it to Torquay where my frien lived. If I were still in touch with him( and her) I would check this out, but unfortunately I am not. If you bought the boat from this area pls feel free to get in touch.
Best regards and safe voyage
